Workplace pride welcomes ‘Fulcrum’ one of the largest Ukrainian LGBT organizations, and ‘Glen’, the preeminent NGO dealing with LGBT workplace inclusion in Ireland as the newest Global Benchmark partners.
Among its many other activities, Fulcrum is the creator of the Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index; a program of cooperation with businesses and promotion of equality and diversity in the workplace. The Index includes LGBT topics alongside other diversity criteria to help judge the progress of Ukraine on this topic.
Established in 1988, GLEN (Gay and Lesbian Equality Network) is an Irish policy and strategy focused non governmental organisation which aims to deliver ambitious and positive change and equality for lesbian, gay and bisexual people in marriage, at home, at school, at work, in service provision and in the wider community. Their ‘Diversity Champions’ program helps employers in Ireland understand the business case for being inclusive of their LGBT employees.
Global Benchmark Partners help promote participation in the annual survey among employers in their own countries. Once the individual reports are distributed, the Partners help employers interpret them in the local context.
“It is very encouraging to see organizations on opposite sides of Europe embracing progress for LGBT people in the workplace: not only in their own countries, but also through cooperating on an international level. The Global Benchmark provides a fitting basis for this cooperation going forward” said David Pollard, Executive Director of Workplace Pride.
